One of Berkshire’s leading retailers of windows, doors and conservatories has completed the £250,000 transformation of its Woodley-based showroom as it aims for more record-breaking months.
TradeMark, which was founded by local business entrepreneur and Wokingham Football Club President Mark Ashwell 33 years ago, unveiled the new-look space this weekend with a major party that attracted more than 100 people.
Visitors explored the 2500 sq ft building on Headley Park 10, talking to its home improvement experts and checking out its exclusive collection of windows and doors.
There were also four complete living spaces on display at the modern and welcoming showroom that welcomed a live band, footballing royalty, food and drink from local producers and the firm’s A-list mascot TradeMark Ted.
Backed by its involvement in CO Retail Network, the company has achieved three record months on its way to achieving £4m sales this year and is about to create up to eight new retail, surveying and installation jobs in the process.
Mark Ashwell, Managing Director, commented: “TradeMark has been a household name in Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey for more than three decades, delivering exceptional customer service and the widest selection of windows, doors and living spaces.
“We wanted to reinforce our commitment to our local customer base by investing in the next thirty-three years, transforming our showroom into a state-of-the-art space where people can visit and bring their aspirations into reality.
“Everything has been updated, including new design technology to help customers visualise what our products may look like in their actual homes. They tested this out by bringing in their photos at the weekend and we showed them there and then.”
He continued: “We’ve also extended our ranges with 16 Forté composite doors now on display in different colours and different glass combinations.
“Our Open Day was a big thank you to everyone who has supported us and continues to choose local. Since we started, we’ve completed over 20,000 installations!”
TradeMark has praised its involvement in the CO Retail Network as a key driver in helping it successfully ride the retail rollercoaster.
The company joined thirteen years ago and is part of a 30-strong group of home improvement specialists, who share best practice, gain access to sector-leading sales and marketing support, and tackle major industry issues together.
It also gives them exclusive rights to sell the Forté, Extreme and Envisage ranges across Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey.
Greg Kane, CEO of CO Manufacturing (formerly known as Conservatory Outlet), went on to add: “TradeMark is widely respected for its level of service and its installation expertise, two qualities we value highly within our Retail Network.
“Together, we have worked to help Mark and the team grow sales, enhance their product collections, and raise their profile in their key catchment areas. It’s a winning formula that we believe will only get stronger with the refurbishment of the new showroom in Woodley.”
Mark, who once appeared on BBC’s Rogue Traders to fight for the rights of homeowners, concluded: “It can be a lonely experience running a retail business, so to be able to call on external advice and support from up to 30 companies is invaluable.
“It has definitely played a role in our growth in recent months and helping establish us as one of Berkshire’s leading home improvement specialists.”
In addition to supplying and installing new windows, doors and conservatories, TradeMark also offers ‘Window Doctors’, a dedicated service for repairing existing products across the Thames Valley.
