Azets, the accountancy and business advisory firm, has strengthened its Plymouth office with the appointment of Ross Webb as audit director. Webb, a chartered accountant, brings extensive international auditing experience to the role.
Before joining Azets, Webb spent more than seven years at a Big 4 accounting firm, gaining exposure to both UK and international operations. He subsequently moved to an international top 10 firm, broadening his expertise further.
During his career, Webb has worked with a diverse range of clients, covering sectors such as manufacturing, insurance, telecommunications, tourism, utilities, and professional services. He completed his higher education at the University of Exeter and trained for his ACA qualification in Bristol.
Laura Pingree, audit partner at Azets in Plymouth, highlighted the significance of the appointment, saying: “With a regional audit team of more than 150 people, Ross’s appointment comes at a time of significant momentum for our audit practice. She added that the Plymouth office, which opened in 2022, plans to grow its team by over 40 per cent by 2028. Pingree emphasised that strategic hires like Webb are central to supporting both the South West region and the audit service line.
