Bristol-based company Bunch, the UK’s leading bill management platform for renters, has announced the acquisition of London-HQed Monadd, the address-management infrastructure designed to automatically update providers, subscriptions and services when people move home.
The deal brings Monadd’s address management technology into the Bunch platform, extending automation across household administration and reinforcing Bunch’s approach to reducing manual life admin for renters.
Bunch currently reaches more than one in three renters in the UK through exclusive distribution partnerships and integrations with major proptech platforms. The company reports 400% growth over the past eight months, driven by the expansion of those partnerships and rising demand for automated household management.
Bunch’s value proposition is the simplification and streamlining of utility bills and admin issues “Ready to make life faff-free? By Bunching your bills, we can help you organise, manage, and simplify your household finances. Sounds easy, right?” their website claims.
The integration of Monadd into the platform is intended to strengthen Bunch’s address management technology, allowing users to manage address changes and service notifications in a single flow. Monadd’s system is used by more than 8,000 movers to update multiple suppliers at once, streamline service transfers and maintain accurate records across essential providers.
“Monadd is one of the most elegant and reliable systems for managing address-linked services, and combining it with Bunch allows us to remove even more friction from people’s lives,” said Elliott Herrod-Taylor, Founder & CEO of Bunch. “Household admin should run effortlessly in the background, and this acquisition moves us significantly closer to that reality.”
Monadd’s address management technology will be embedded into the Bunch platform alongside its forthcoming AI assistant, which is designed to discover bills, analyse spending, automate supplier interactions and save users time and money on an ongoing basis.
“Monadd was built to simplify one of the most frustrating moments in modern life: keeping your services up to date when your circumstances change,” said Jessica Mendoza, Founder & CEO of Monadd. “By joining Bunch, we can bring that simplicity to a far wider audience and become part of a seamless experience for households across the UK.”
The acquisition also reflects Monadd’s wider infrastructure, which connects with more than 265 local authorities across the UK. At the point of move-in and move-out, the platform enables verified resident details to be shared with councils, supporting the accurate capture of council tax revenue and helping establish resident relationships from the outset.
Monadd’s focus on secure address management technology includes encrypted infrastructure and regular audits by a cybersecurity firm. Users can add or remove personal details at any time, with the platform designed to reduce administrative errors, prevent paper waste and limit the risk of identity theft linked to misdirected post.
For Bunch, the move represents a shift from supporting people only during house moves to offering continuous, year-round household management. The company says this expands its service beyond renters relocating to anyone seeking to simplify bills, subscriptions and supplier interactions through address management technology.
“This is Bunch’s first acquisition, and it accelerates our mission to make managing your bills effortless, intelligent, and automated,” said Herrod-Taylor. “Together, we’re building the operating system for modern household management.”
