Mazda CX-6e Beats Fleet Rivals on Residual Values Ahead of UK Debut

Fleets ordering the all-new Mazda CX-6e will benefit from residual values stronger than key competitors, with the car also attracting positive feedback from some of the UK’s biggest contract hire companies.

CAP has set residual values for the range-topping all-electric Mazda CX-6e Takumi 190kW at 55% for three years and 30,000 miles.

This places Mazda’s forthcoming fleet contender ahead of direct rivals, the Changan Deepal S07 Ultra 160kW (46.3%), Kia EV6 Air 168kW (41%) and MG MG6 Trophy 180 kW (45%) and Audi Q4 E-Tron Performance 210kW (37.1%).

CAP’s data places Mazda’s first all-electric large SUV competitively against the long-established Tesla Model Y 220kW (58.5%).

Ahead of its debut, Mazda has also run a national roadshow visiting many of the UK’s biggest contract hire vendors, with residual values setters and asset management specialists invited to view and assess a left hand drive model.

Alex Janes, Head of Fleet at Mazda Motors UK, said: “The Mazda CX-6e is an important model for the brand, taking us into a dynamic new sector while significantly broadening our appeal among corporate customers and user-choosers.

“CAP’s confidence in setting a high residual value for the CX-6e is reinforced by feedback from our contract hire roadshow. Vendors responded extremely positively to its styling, quality, market positioning, range, specification and pricing.

“Following the successful introduction of the Mazda6e in September, the CX-6e advances our electrification strategy and gives fleets a compelling, cost-effective alternative in the highly competitive electric SUV segment.”

The Mazda CX-6e arrives this November in two highly specified grades: the £42,990 Takumi and the £45,350 Takumi Plus.
