Taylor Wimpey South Midlands has raised over £13,000 for Harry’s Rainbow, a Milton Keynes charity dedicated to supporting bereaved children and their families. The funds were collected during the Taylor Wimpey Milton Keynes charity fundraising triathlon event, held at Whittlebury Park Golf Club in Towcester in October.
The day-long event brought together Taylor Wimpey staff, suppliers, and subcontractors to take part in a series of activities including clay pigeon and crossbow shooting, an 18-hole golf tournament, and a quad-bike safari skills trial. The event concluded with a dinner and charity auction, which helped raise a total of £13,000 for the local organisation.
The funds will go towards Harry’s Rainbow’s mission to provide emotional and practical support to children and young people experiencing the loss of a loved one. Founded in 2011, the Milton Keynes-based charity offers a range of services, from therapeutic mentoring to organised trips and short breaks at its dedicated Rainbow Retreat.
Alison Johnson, Fundraising and Events Manager for Harry’s Rainbow, said the support from Taylor Wimpey South Midlands had been invaluable: “We’re thrilled to be Taylor Wimpey South Midlands’ charity partner in 2025, and their fundraising efforts for the Charity Triathlon and auction represented their dedication to Harry’s Rainbow.
“Without the help of these vital funds, we wouldn’t be able to continue to offer the emotional and practical support bereaved children and their families need during the difficult grieving process. We can’t thank Taylor Wimpey South Midlands enough for their continued and dedicated support.”
The partnership between the housebuilder and the charity has been ongoing, with Taylor Wimpey South Midlands continuing to prioritise local community support through its Milton Keynes charity fundraising efforts.
Hayden Dolby, Managing Director for Taylor Wimpey South Midlands, highlighted the importance of supporting community organisations such as Harry’s Rainbow. “We were thrilled to show our support for Harry’s Rainbow for another year. Harry’s Rainbow is crucial for children and families within the Milton Keynes community needing that extra support while they’re grieving a loved one, and it’s important to us to support organisations that give so much to the local area.
“We’re so proud of our team, suppliers, and subcontractors who took part in our Charity Triathlon to raise such an incredible amount for Harry’s Rainbow.”
Harry’s Rainbow continues to be a central point of support for bereaved children in Milton Keynes and the surrounding area. Its services are designed to provide a safe and understanding space for families to connect with others who have gone through similar experiences, offering both group and individual support options.
The £13,000 raised through the Taylor Wimpey Milton Keynes charity fundraising initiative will contribute directly to the continuation of these services, ensuring that more children can benefit from the charity’s ongoing work.
For Taylor Wimpey South Midlands, the event marks another milestone in its long-standing commitment to corporate social responsibility and community engagement. The company regularly partners with local charities and community groups to help make a positive difference in the areas where it builds and operates.
With fundraising efforts such as the Charity Triathlon, Taylor Wimpey South Midlands reinforces its position as a supporter of meaningful local causes, while helping organisations like Harry’s Rainbow continue their mission of providing vital care and guidance for bereaved families across Milton Keynes.
