The private members’ club, Mortimer House, connect work, wellbeing, and culture in their new, striking Art Deco building in the centre of Fitzrovia, London.
After the founding property of Maslow’s opened in 2017, seven-storey building, Mortimer House, now offers a next-generation hospitality concept that fuses workplace design with personal wellbeing.
Maslow’s is a collection of members’ houses that all blend work and wellbeing – through catering to both professional ambition and personal fulfilment. Offering private offices, shared workspaces, fitness studios, bespoke meeting rooms, bars, restaurants, and events, Maslow Houses are unlike any other traditional offices – making an environment that members thrive in.
Being a private members’ club where hospitality, design, wellness, and productivity blend together seamlessly, Mortimer House set the benchmark for working and living well in the modern age.
As rooted in Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, Mortimer House has been created to support every dimension of its members’ lives.
Housing private workspaces, vibrant cultural programming, design-led fitness studios, and food and drink offerings, members can embrace their ambition, focus, creativity, connection and self-actualisation in an exceptional all-day experience.
Mortimer House has a collection of workspaces on offer, from open-plan Pied-à-Terre desks, serene lounges, to elegant meeting rooms, which all have comfort and full tech support. Whether a member is in the need of a focussed solo session, or a collaborative brainstorm, there is space for all, with larger teams being encouraged to make themselves comfortable in the Loft & Gallery.
Wellbeing of members is a core principle for Maslow’s, which Mortimer House exemplifies, with their state-of-the-art fitness studio and gym.
Members have access to a full calendar of daily classes – including yoga, HIIT, TRX and Barre – and other services such as personal training and Brompton bike hire. Another highlight is that the house offers an exciting lineup of exclusive resident wellness partners for guests, with one being Space to Pause offering complimentary therapeutic massages for all members throughout August.
Versatile event and meeting spaces have also been implemented in the House to cater to all needs of their members. Across its seven floors are nine meeting rooms and event spaces, each with its own unique features.
The Kitchen Table is ideal for intimate workshops or discussions, whereas the Loft & gallery has a unique, beautiful space for weddings and large-scale gatherings. Mortimer House is also a licensed venue for civil ceremonies – making it the perfect spot for those who prefer to stay in one location for their special day.
The differential designs of these rooms, bespoke seating arrangements, private rooftop access, and state-of-the-art entertainment systems, means that Mortimer House meet all the needs of modern couples – delivering their ceremonies and celebrations just as they want.
It is not only about the place however; Mortimer House is also about making a cultural community. They offer talks, workshops, supper clubs and performances to achieve a personal and professional balance, and invite members to feed both their curiosity and creativity.
Finally, the Mortimer House Kitchen is now led by Executive Chef Tom Cenci, serving breakfast through to dinner, and drinks later in the evening. The Kitchen offers a nostalgic, Italian-inspired menu and carefully curated cocktail list which will transport members to the Amalfi Coast.
There is a rooftop bar and terrace located on the sixth floor, and members are also able to enjoy restaurant standard food and drink at their desk, with a club-wide full service menu designed by Cenci.
