Taylor Wimpey North Thames has once again shown its commitment to sustainability by supporting Goatfest 2025 as the Recyclable Cups Sponsor. For the second year running, the housebuilder donated £1,980 to fund the festival’s eco-friendly initiative, reducing plastic waste while encouraging the local community to enjoy live music responsibly.
Now in its 16th year, Goatfest has become a much-loved highlight of the summer calendar. The three-day festival, held from 22nd to 24th August, welcomed over 2,500 attendees and featured a packed lineup of performances. Headliners included disco legends Boney M, DJ Spoony, The AC/DC Show tribute act, The Dominos, The Soul Strutters, and more. With non-stop live music and sunshine, the event brought together people of all ages to celebrate community spirit.
Taylor Wimpey’s sponsorship of the recyclable cups forms part of the company’s wider efforts to give back to the communities surrounding its Codicote developments, The Heath and The Vale. By funding the use of recyclable cups, the housebuilder directly contributed to reducing single-use plastics at one of Hertfordshire’s most popular festivals.
Speaking on behalf of the Goatfest operations team, Hannah Patel said “This year’s festival was a fantastic success. It was brilliant to see the local community thoroughly enjoying themselves, with people of all ages and backgrounds coming together to sing and dance. We couldn’t do it without our wonderful sponsors and we are incredibly grateful to Taylor Wimpey for their continued support. We can’t wait for 2026.”
Paresh Pandya, Senior Sales Manager at Taylor Wimpey North Thames, added “We’re delighted to have supported Goatfest again this year. We’re proud to not only sponsor a fun day out for the Codicote community, but also back the sustainable effort to reduce the plastic waste produced by a large-scale event such as this. We hope everyone had a fantastic time at Goatfest and that our recyclable cups helped visitors cut down on plastic waste.”
Goatfest’s emphasis on sustainability continues to grow each year, with the recyclable cups sponsorship ensuring that thousands of drinks are served in a more environmentally friendly way. By combining live entertainment with a strong eco-conscious approach, the festival demonstrates how community events can be both enjoyable and sustainable.
With support from Taylor Wimpey North Thames, Goatfest 2025 not only delivered unforgettable music and memories but also took another step toward a greener future.
