A new neighbourhood in North Bristol has opened bookings for its first purpose-built student accommodation. The Propeller Quarter, located at the centre of Brabazon, will welcome students for the 2026/27 academic year.
The development offers a mix of studios and cluster flats and aims to combine modern living with strong connectivity to all Bristol campuses. Residents will have access to pop-up food destinations, padel courts, golf pods, and events at the Spitfire Hangar community hub, enhancing the social and recreational experience.
Construction is being carried out by YTL Construction UK. The first two blocks, providing 750 beds, are on track for the 2026/27 intake. The remaining blocks, bringing the total capacity to over 1,500 beds, will open the following academic year. Once complete, The Propeller Quarter will be among the largest student accommodation schemes in the UK.
Jon McDiarmid, director of sales and marketing at YTL Developments, said: “At Brabazon, we’re raising the bar for student living by building a destination for student life – a place that feels truly special.
“The Propeller Quarter combines stylish rooms, generous study spaces and first-class facilities with competitive rents, delivering outstanding value without compromise.”
Jo Harper, divisional operational director at Homes for Students, added: “The Propeller Quarter represents a landmark opportunity for our portfolio. We are very privileged to be supporting the launch of this property and we recognise its vast potential. Located in the beating heart of Brabazon, it promises to be one of the city’s brightest, boldest new student accommodations.”
The Propeller Quarter represents a significant addition to student housing in Bristol, offering both scale and modern amenities designed to meet the needs of contemporary university life. Its combination of high capacity, facilities, and connectivity positions it as a key destination for students in the region.
