Amazon Filters delivers emergency water cartridges to restore South East supply

A Surrey-based process filter manufacturer has responded to an urgent request from a water company to help restore safe tap water to 20,000 homes and businesses in the South East.

Amazon Filters delivered 225 filter cartridges within a single day from its Camberley production centre, coordinating efforts across sales, stores, operations and logistics teams. A further 225 cartridges were shipped two days later, with additional batches prepared for dispatch over the coming days. The full order of 900 cartridges was needed to address a water quality issue at a treatment works.

The precautionary ‘boil water’ notice had been issued after concerns over a disinfection process meant the water no longer met strict regulatory standards for consumption.

Lisa Astbury, sales manager at Amazon Filters, said: “As soon as we received the order, we acted immediately to enable the operators to install the new cartridges and move to restore continuity of supply. Our response is a demonstration of our ‘quick and able’ approach to manufacturing and supply. Our one-micron SupaSpun 900 filters help remove turbidity and contamination, supporting excellent water quality.”

Amazon Filters has supplied critical filtration solutions to the UK and European water industries for 40 years.
