New sweet and fiery chicken lands alongside the return of fan-favourite Ghost Chilli Ranch
Tortilla is giving spice to the start of autumn with the launch of Hot Damn Chicken, a brand-new sweet and fiery addition to its California-style Mexican menu.
Launching today, Tuesday 22 September, the new Hot Damn Chicken combines Tortilla’s classic Asado Chicken with a Hot Damn Glaze created with award-winning Leeds-based hot sauce brand Thiccc Sauce.
Sweet, fiery and packed with flavour, the new chicken delivers a triple hit of ghost chilli and can be added to customers’ favourite burritos, bowls and other Tortilla builds.
And it won’t be arriving alone. Joining Hot Damn Chicken is the return of Tortilla’s popular Ghost Chilli Ranch, also created in collaboration with Thiccc Sauce.
Cool and creamy with a serious chilli kick, the house-made ranch is combined with Thiccc Sauce Hot Damn Triple Ghost Chilli Hot Sauce, featuring a triple threat of chillies – Trinidad Scorpion Moruga, Yellow Naga Bhut Jolokia and Carolina Reaper.
For those who want to try both, Tortilla has created the new DAMN, THAT’S HOT! Burrito and Bowl – a recommended recipe that brings the Hot Damn Chicken and Ghost Chilli Ranch together.
Available in Medium or Large, the DAMN, THAT’S HOT! Burrito combines coriander rice, black beans, Hot Damn Chicken, Monterey Jack cheese, Ghost Chilli Ranch, lettuce, pico de gallo, pickled onions and jalapeños for a combination of sweet, creamy and fiery flavours, balanced with crisp, fresh toppings.
Customers can also choose Hot Damn Chicken and Ghost Chilli Ranch individually as part of their usual ‘build your own’ Tortilla, meaning they can make their order as hot – or not – as they like.
Tortilla has even lined up something to sip alongside it, partnering with Dalston’s to pair the DAMN, THAT’S HOT! Burrito or Bowl with Dalston’s Lemon Soda. Zesty and refreshing, the soda is a cooling antidote to the heat.

Hot Damn Chicken is the latest creation from Tortilla’s collaboration with Thiccc Sauce, the independent hot sauce brand founded by Luca Rollini in in 2020.
The new Hot Damn Chicken, returning Ghost Chilli Ranch and DAMN, THAT’S HOT! Burrito and Bowl launch on Tuesday 22 September across Tortilla’s UK-owned restaurants, excluding franchise locations.
They will be available in-store, on kiosks, via order ahead and delivery for a limited time throughout autumn.
