There’s Sunday roasts, and then there’s a Young’s Sunday roast. With over 280 pubs across London and the South, there’s no better place to settle in for a long, leisurely weekend feast.

Alongside the classics; think golden roast potatoes, towering Yorkshires and lashings of limitless gravy; expect some standout sides and chef-led twists, like truffled cauliflower cheese and wild garlic pesto to ginger and soy tenderstem broccoli.
For an extra seasonal twist on the Sunday ritual, Young’s is serving up the Absolut X Pickle House Bloody Mary across its menus, made with Pickle House’s punchy British pickle juice, for a perfect savoury pairing to a proper roast.
Make Sundays special at Young’s with a proper pub lunch and a pint (or two), whether beside a roaring fire, by the riverside or around a table with friends and family.

IN LONDON
FOR THORS HAMMER – The Alma, Wandsworth
At The Alma, Sundays are best shared family style. The ‘Sunday Better’ selection takes the classic roast to the next level with the Thors Hammer; a 48-hour slow braised shin of beef for 3-4 people. Every roast, including the single serving ‘Sunday Best’, comes with all the trimmings, from duck fat roast potatoes and maple glazed carrots to charred greens, cabbage and larger-than-life Yorkshire puddings.

FOR THE ULTIMATE SHARER – The Windmill, Clapham
Right by the Common, The Windmill isn’t shy when it comes to Sunday lunch. Alongside Young’s core roast menu, go big with a 1kg Tomahawk or 2kg lamb shoulder, both sourced from local butcher, The Ginger Pig, or opt for an individual roasted duck breast. For the ultimate sharer, there’s Hertfordshire half chicken; West Country beef; porchetta; and confit duck leg. And because no one should be left fighting over the sides, there’s roasties; ginger and soy broccoli; and individual jugs of gravy for the table.

FOR THE CENTREPIECE – Lion & Unicorn, Kentish Town
Famed for its food, The Lion & Unicorn brings Head Chef Aidan and his team’s focus on seasonal British ingredients to the Sunday table. FOR THE DRY AGED CUTS – White Horse, Hascombe
At The White Horse, its in-house dry ager is the secret to an elevated Sunday roast, with selected cuts aged for a minimum of 35 days to develop ultimate tenderness. Meat is sourced through female-owned Farnham Family Butchers from trusted British farmers and local producers, including Surrey Hall Farm. Set in the Surrey Hills, roasts include Surrey Farm sirloin on the bone, whole roast beef rump picanha and thyme-roasted chicken, all served with beef dripping roasties, seasonal sides, including a double-egg Yorkshire pudding and rich beef gravy.
