One-Of-A-Kind Alpine A390 Art Car to Be Revealed at Goodwood Revival

A one-off Alpine A390 will be unveiled at the 2026 Goodwood Revival, featuring a unique design surface produced by creative talent Trevor Jackson.

The distinctive project combines Alpine’s approach to performance and design with Jackson’s distinctive creative perspective, developed over decades working across art, music, fashion and visual culture.

Set against the historic backdrop of Goodwood Motor Circuit, the result will place a bold, contemporary expression of Alpine design at the heart of an event built around the sights, sounds and competition heritage of motorsport’s past.

ALPINE A390, REIMAGINED
For the unique commission, the A390 becomes a canvas for Jackson, whose creative treatment gives Alpine’s five-seat sport fastback an identity all of its own. The finished product will be an abstract visual exploration of form, function, performance and style, representing a synergy of Alpine’s past and present.

This car will be a distinct representation of the legacy of Alpine, refined into an innovative contemporary icon. The project puts a fresh interpretation on a car already conceived to challenge expectations of what an Alpine can be.

With five seats and an all-electric powertrain, the A390 broadens the brand into new territory while retaining a clear focus on driving pleasure, making it an apt starting point for a creative brief built around seeing something familiar differently.

TREVOR JACKSON: A CAREER ACROSS CULTURE
London-based Trevor Jackson has spent more than three decades moving between disciplines. A creative director, designer, artist, music producer and moving-image maker, he has worked in music, fashion, art and commercial design, encompassing collaborations with major international brands as well as independent artists and cultural projects.

That breadth of experience sits at the heart of his approach to the A390, created in unison with Alpine Design Director Antony Villain and the Alpine design team.

Trevor Jackson said: “What excited me most about this project was the opportunity to graphically explore the relationship between movement & visual abstraction, an approach that responds to the car itself rather than being simply decorative. The A390 has a strong identity of its own so the main challenge was finding a balance where the cars unique personality and my own could sit harmoniously together without compromise, together with Antony and the Alpine design team we found the perfect solution.”

Antony Villain, Alpine Design Director, said: “Trevor has a rare ability to move freely between disciplines while retaining a very clear point of view, and that made him a natural person to invite into the Alpine design process. The A390’s strong and distinctive form invited a new layer of expression around it while respecting the character of the car. The result brings a fresh cultural perspective to Alpine design.”

A DIFFERENT KIND OF ALPINE FOR GOODWOOD
Goodwood has long provided a natural stage for Alpine’s competition heritage and latest performance models, and the 2026 Revival will see the brand bring a distinctly contemporary expression of that philosophy to the historic circuit.

The A390 itself made its Goodwood Revival debut in 2025. One year later, Jackson’s one-off interpretation gives visitors something entirely new to discover, while three further cars on the Alpine display connect it directly with the competition history and lightweight performance philosophy that have shaped the brand.

BEWARE OF THE CROCODILE
Joining the display will be Beware of the Crocodile – Alpine Lacoste A290 Rallye, the collaboration between two French brands based on Alpine Racing’s first 100% electric customer competition car. Its distinctive treatment incorporates no fewer than 290 Lacoste crocodiles, but beneath it sits serious rally hardware, with 220 hp, a ZF limited-slip differential and rally-specific suspension.

An A110 Berlinette in rally specification will represent the lightweight, agile philosophy that established Alpine on the international rally stage and helped the brand secure the inaugural World Rally Championship for Manufacturers in 1973.

Completing the quartet is the current-generation Alpine A110, linking the Berlinette’s original formula with its acclaimed modern interpretation. Production concluded at Alpine’s historic Dieppe facility in July, but UK enthusiasts still have a final opportunity to own this multi-award-winning A110 generation, with a limited number remaining available through the Alpine retail network.

Nicola Burnside, Alpine UK Brand Director, added: “Goodwood Revival is the perfect place to show this first art car. Revival is famous for theatre, heritage and imagination, all of which are key to Trevor’s design of this unique project. Trevor’s interpretation of A390 gives us a completely new way to present the car, while the Berlinette, A110 and Alpine Lacoste A290 Rallye tell the wider Alpine story around it. It brings together heritage, creativity and performance in a way that feels very natural for Alpine, but which will still give visitors the chance to enjoy something they haven’t seen from us before.”

The 2026 Goodwood Revival takes place at Goodwood Motor Circuit, West Sussex, from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 September.
