Live oompah music, games, ‘Beer Hall’ style seating and Oktoberfest-inspired celebrations will take over Folkestone Harbour Arm from Saturday 19 September 2026
Folkestone Harbour Arm is bringing a taste of Oktoberfest to the Kent coast this autumn, as Wünder Harbour returns for four weekends of live music, entertainment and festivities by the sea.
First launched as a one-weekend event in 2023, Wünder Harbour has grown year on year to become a firm fixture in Folkestone Harbour Arm’s autumn events calendar.

Now, for 2026, the celebration is getting even bigger, taking over The Goods Yard across four weekends and transforming the Harbour Arm’s foodie hotspot and dedicated events space into a lively ‘Bavarian Wünderland’.
Beginning on Saturday 19 September, Wünder Harbour will bring together live oompah music, Bavarian-inspired food and drink, interactive games, communal tables and immersive Oktoberfest-style decoration, all with Folkestone’s own seaside twist.
The event will take place on 19 and 20 September, 26 and 27 September, 3 and 4 October, and 10 and 11 October, 11am – 8pm on Saturdays and 11am – 6pm on Sundays.
At the heart of the celebrations will be daily performances from the much-loved Bettesteiner Footstompers, who have brought the party to Wünder Harbour since its very first year. A dedicated ‘Harbour Meister’will keep the celebrations moving, leading games, encouraging audience participation and creating plenty of opportunities for visitors to get involved, embrace the silliness and join the fun, with dressing up highly encouraged.
New for 2026 is the Solstice Bar, a reimagined Routemaster bus transformed into a spectacular bar. After making its first appearance at the Harbour Arm this summer, Solstice will take centre stage at Wünder Harbour as the event’s dedicated stein bar, serving drinks throughout the festivities.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy the Harbour Arm’s collection of independent food and drink traders throughout the event, making Wünder Harbour the perfect place to gather a group of friends, pull up a bench and spend the day beside the sea.
Folkestone Harbour & Seafront Development Company General Manager, Paulo Kingston-Corriea, said:
“When Wunder Harbour was first launched in 2023 as a one-weekend event, putting on a large event of this type in the Autumn felt like a bit of a risk. Happily, it was an instant success.
“To be in a position where we are able to expand this experience across 4 weekends shows just how keen visitors to Folkestone Harbour Arm are to keep the party going, even outside of the dizzying heights of our most successful summer season ever. It’s events like this, our highly successful ‘boutique’ Festive Market, the recent introduction of the UK’s Largest Beach Spa with two statement saunas and massive investment to create large, indoor venues that is cementing Folkestone Harbour Arm’s growing reputation as a year-round destination.”
