The stand-out tie from the round-of-16 is undoubtedly Fleetwood Town hosting Arsenal. The Cod Army can look forward to a visit from the Premier League champions in what will be the biggest match in the club’s history.
That is their reward after unceremoniously dumping Championship side Sheffield United out on Wednesday night, thanks to a 1-0 home win.
Elsewhere in the draw, top flight giants Liverpool will host Chelsea in a game between teams that have won this competition 15 times combined. Xabi Alonso will take his side to Anfield, where he enjoyed five hugely successful years as a player.
Brighton’s terrific comeback win at Old Trafford has potentially earned them another trip to Manchester – although that depends on Man City overcoming Norwich in the only outstanding third round tie, set to be played on Thursday.
There are four other all-Premier League ties: Everton host Newcastle, Sunderland welcome Brentford, Fulham face off against London neighbours Crystal Palace and Bournemouth take on Aston Villa.
The last tie is a meeting between two League One clubs as Bradford City – 2013 finalists – host Peterborough.
