Which Kia models qualify for the Electric Car Grant?
With this latest news, Kia continues to offer a broad range of electric vehicles eligible for the Government Electric Car Grant, helping more retail and fleet customers make the switch to electric mobility. The Electric Car Grant
The UK Government’s Electric Car Grant is exclusively available to electric cars adhering to strict minimum criteria covering emissions, range, sustainability and warranty support.

The ECG criteria requires a manufacturer to have SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) verification, which sets greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets in line with what is needed to keep global heating below damaging levels and reach net-zero by 2050 at the latest.

A sustainable journey
Kia will have introduced 15 EV models and 10 HEV models by 2030, while Kia is also committed to manufacturing sites being powered by 100% renewable energy by 2040. The company is pursuing multiple global initiatives to achieve carbon neutrality across the entire product lifecycle by 2045, including achieving RE100, conducting Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) for all vehicle models, and strengthening its electrification strategy.
