Chery Hits the Ground Running with Sir Mo Farah’s URUNN App

Chery is partnering with URUNN, the personalised running app co-founded by Sir Mo Farah CBE, as it looks to connect with one of the country’s fastest-growing and most engaged lifestyle communities.

To mark the collaboration, the first 7,000 customers to test drive a Chery TIGGO model equipped with Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) technology between 16 October and 31 December will receive a free three-month URUNN membership, while the first 3,000 to purchase one will each receive a full year’s membership – worth £93.99 – free of charge.

URUNN was developed by Sir Mo and Adam Clarke, GB international athlete and winner of the 2024 Manchester Marathon, together with fitness tech company 10XU. Designed for runners of all abilities, from first-time 5K participants to experienced marathon runners, it’s helping people in more than 90 countries worldwide to go further and go faster.

At the heart of the app is a personalised training plan, built from scratch around each runner’s goals, fitness level and schedule, and offers real-time coaching on everything from pacing to recovery. Progress tracking, personal-best insights and seamless syncing with Apple Watch, Garmin and more completes the picture.

Farrell Hsu, Managing Director, Chery UK, said: “This partnership is about connecting with something that really matters to people. Running is an important part of everyday life for millions, and the URUNN app is designed to genuinely helps them improve as they strive to achieve their personal best.

“Chery Super Hybrid technology is built around many of the same principles by delivering performance in a way that is efficient, usable and consistent day to day. By pairing URUNN membership with our test drive experience, we’re offering something practical and relevant, while showing how our technology fits into modern, active, and healthy lifestyles.”

Running is now one of the UK’s most popular forms of exercise, with more than 16 million people taking part regularly, and a further 17 million considering it. Having a structured plan is one of the main factors that would encourage them to do so* – something URUNN is designed to address. This perfectly illustrates Chery’s commitment to establishing mutually beneficial and genuinely meaningful partnerships within the UK.

URUNN co-founder, Sir Mo Farah CBE, said: “URUNN was created to give runners concrete structure and support, whatever their ability. Whether you’re just getting started or training for something bigger, having a personalised plan can make a huge difference, and so it’s great to be working with Chery to make that more widely available.

“If this partnership encourages more people to get out and enjoy running, then that’s a really positive result, and one that I’m incredibly proud to be a part of.”

The partnership will be brought to life through a series of events, appearances and digital content featuring Sir Mo Farah and the wider URUNN community, and forms part of Chery’s broader approach to building relevant, real-world connections with customers beyond the traditional automotive space. It also reflects a shared focus on performance, efficiency and consistency over time – principles that define both successful runners and Chery’s CSH powertrains, which are offered on every model in the TIGGO line-up.

Test drives are available now through Chery’s fast-growing UK retailer network, which currently comprises 100 sites nationwide. Customers who qualify for free membership to URUNN following their test drive or purchase of a Chery TIGGO CSH vehicle will receive an email with a code to activate it. The offer runs from 16 October until 31 December but memberships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis – customers are advised to visit their local retailer as soon as possible.

The TIGGO 4 CSH compact SUV is the most attainable model in the range, priced from only £19,995 (OTR). The family-focused TIGGO 7 CSH offers up to 56 miles (WLTP) of electric-only driving, while the larger TIGGO 8 – the UK’s best-selling seven-seater in June and winner of Carwow Car of the Year 2026 – combines exceptional practicality with CO2 emissions from just 31g/km and the same 56-mile electric range (WLTP).

The flagship TIGGO 9 delivers 428 PS through an advanced all-wheel drive system, accelerating from 0-62 mph in 5.4 seconds, and offers up to 91 miles of electric-only driving and CO₂ emissions from just 14g/km.
