BYD, the world’s leading manufacturer of New Energy Vehicles (plug-in hybrid and electric), has confirmed its presence at The British Motor Show 2026, returning for a third consecutive year to showcase the latest models in its expanding line-up.
For the first time, DENZA, the premium-focused technology brand of the BYD Group, will be joining its sister brand at the event. The presence of both at The British Motor Show will give visitors the opportunity to engage directly with two of the most influential global brands shaping the electric and plug-in hybrid vehicle markets.
Among the latest models which the two marques will be showing from their growing UK and European product ranges in terms of drive experiences and static displays will be the all-new Ti 7, DOLPHIN G DM-i and SHARK.
Ti 7 is BYD’s first seven-seat SUV in Europe and uses the company’s Dual Mode Performance (DM-p) plug-in hybrid technology, combining electric and petrol power for a total of 408PS and an electric-only range for 74 miles, priced at £47,995 on-the-road.
Also present will be the all-new DOLPHIN G DM-i – the plug-in hybrid supermini which offers a total range of up to 646 miles – and the all-electric SEAL, which has been revised for 2026 with improved practicality, increased ADAS technology and a new wheel design and exterior colours.
Away from the BYD stand, show visitors can also visit the Car of the Year area to take a closer look at the SHARK pick-up. Priced from £47,290 (including VAT), the SHARK’s DMO powertrain combines 436PS with a driving range of 419 miles on a full charge and a full tank of fuel.
BYD’s stand has always been a popular attraction at The British Motor Show for families, car buyers and technology enthusiasts keen to understand how electric vehicles are evolving in terms of design, performance and everyday usability. Visitors to the stand can be entertained by the VR vehicle viewer, which allows users to have a digital walkaround of the DENZA Z supercar, use a grabber to try and win a cuddly dolphin toy and take in the Discovery Wall, which educates passers-by on BYD’s ground-breaking technologies.
Steve Beattie, Deputy Country Manager of BYD UK, said, “BYD and DENZA are proud to be attending the British Motor Show for the third year running. As a key event in the domestic calendar, it’s the perfect place to showcase our ever-growing family of both fully electric and plug-in hybrid models. The new test drive format for 2026 adds the chance for attendees to get behind the wheel of our newest and most exciting models.”
Commenting on the announcement, Jon Hickey, Sales Director at The British Motor Show, said: “BYD embodies innovation and sustainability on a global scale, and its return highlights The British Motor Show’s role as a leading platform for international manufacturers connecting with UK consumers. It also strengthens the show’s reputation as a showcase for the future of mobility. We’re thrilled to be continuing our relationship with the BYD team and look forward to seeing their vehicles back at the show.”
