Portsmouth shoppers are in for a treat this weekend as outdoor retailer Mountain Warehouse will officially open the doors to its newest store at the Gunwharf Quays shopping outlet on Saturday, 15th August.
The store will span 1,693 square feet across one floor, featuring a wide range of affordable, quality outdoor clothing and equipment for all the family. Visitors will be able to browse best-sellers, including walking boots, waterproof jackets, camping kit, and other essentials for all types of outdoor adventures.
Mountain Warehouse founder, Mark Neale, said: “We’re excited to share our passion for adventure with both residents and visitors in Portsmouth, and we’re thrilled to open our new store here.”
The store marks the retailer’s return to Gunwharf after ten years, and it has created ten new jobs in the area.

The launch is part of Mountain Warehouse’s wider business expansion plans, following record sales in its latest annual results, driven by new stores and relocations. The retailer is also set to continue its growth with 50 new openings and relocations across the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Poland, and Canada in the following year.
Established in 1997, Mountain Warehouse operates over 430 stores and multiple websites across nine countries, with the UK ranking as its largest market.
