Award-Winning Burger Creators The Beefy Boys Bring New Cookbook Tour To Cheltenham

Award-winning burger creators The Beefy Boys are bringing their new book tour to Cheltenham in May and June as part of a UK-wide series of events to celebrate the launch of their second cookbook, The Beefy Boys’ Great British BBQ.

The team will appear at Waterstones in Cheltenham on Wednesday 6th May, and Rossiter Books in Cheltenham on Saturday 20th June, giving burger fans the chance to meet the founders and get their copy of the book signed.

The Beefy Boys’ Great British BBQ, will be published by Quadrille on 7th May 2026 (£20), and sees The Beefy Boys on a mission to reclaim outdoor cooking in the UK, moving it beyond burnt sausages and overcooked steaks. The book brings together British ingredients with global inspiration and is packed with recipes for low-and-slow cooked meats, smoky roasts, steaks, chops, crowd-pleasing sides and, of course, The Beefy Boys’ award-winning burgers (UK’s Best Burger 2023).

Founded in 2011 by four childhood friends Anthony ‘Murf’ Murphy, Daniel Mayo-Evans, Christian Williams and Lee Symonds, The Beefy Boys began cooking burgers in their back gardens in Hereford. After placing second at World Food Championships in Las Vegas in 2014, they used their winnings to open their first restaurant. The group has since grown into a multi-site brand with restaurants in Hereford, Shrewsbury, Cheltenham, Bath and Oxford, and will soon open their sixth restaurant in Nottingham.

To celebrate the launch of the book, the team will be heading out on the road for a series of book signings and live events across the UK.

Selected events will feature Beefy Boys canapés, including dishes inspired directly from the book. Highlights will include their take on burnt ends, a smoky BBQ favourite that capture
