Whether it’s a first night away as a new family, or an antenatal group wanting to spend proper time together beyond the group chat, A Pause for Us is about making space for connection, conversation and a little breathing room.
For larger bookings, the hotel’s four-bedroom Courtyard Residence can be booked exclusively, creating a private retreat where family and friends can come together while still enjoying everything the hotel has to offer. Each room features a super king-size bed and sofa bed, with cots available on request. Outdoor seating and an oversized bath provide plenty of space to relax, while giving everyone room to settle in, swap stories and compare notes – and, perhaps most importantly, realise that nobody is doing this alone.
There’s time to enjoy the little moments, too. Parents and babies can create a keepsake handprint frame together, capturing a tiny moment from a stage that passes all too quickly, before settling in for traditional afternoon tea overlooking the gardens. For little ones just starting out on solids, organic weaning dishes, finger foods and snacks are also available, taking one more thing off the to-do list.
Beyond that, the only plan is to take things at your own pace. Guests can enjoy a gentle stroll through the New Forest before returning to the hotel for a relaxed dinner in its charming pub, Monty’s Inn, with the cooking and cleaning taken care of.
