Plymouth Albion Announces Veolia as Official Sustainability Partner

Plymouth Albion is proud to announce Veolia as the club’s new Official Sustainability Partner, marking the beginning of a significant long-term relationship focused on waste management, resource efficiency and creating a more sustainable future at Brickfields.

This partnership goes far beyond traditional sponsorship. Veolia will work closely with Plymouth Albion to review and improve the way waste is managed across the stadium, helping the club reduce its environmental impact, improve waste segregation and build more sustainable practices into its day-to-day operations.

As Albion continues to raise its ambitions on the pitch, the partnership will ensure that the club’s progress off it is equally forward-thinking, responsible and built for the future.

Building a More Sustainable Brickfields

Through its expertise in resource management, Veolia will support the club in developing a clearer and more effective approach to waste across Brickfields.

This will include improving waste segregation, reviewing how materials are collected and managed and helping the club identify opportunities to reduce waste and make better use of its resources.

The partnership will also look beyond the operational side of the stadium, using Plymouth Albion’s platform to highlight the importance of sustainability and encourage positive change among supporters, partners and the wider local community.

By embedding more sustainable practices across the club, Plymouth Albion aims to ensure that growth at Brickfields is supported by a responsible long-term strategy.

The UK Leader in Resource Management

Veolia is the UK’s leading resource management company, providing a comprehensive range of waste, water and energy services designed to support the circular economy and protect the environment.

The company strives to be the benchmark for environmental security; ensuring critical needs through closed-loop solutions that match the growth and changing needs of its customers.

For stadiums and sports clubs, Veolia supports the growth, smooth-running and evolving ambitions of these sites as they diversify, through innovative approaches to re-use of materials, and future-proofing complex operations. Working together, Veolia helps customers achieve resilient, efficient and sustainable operations with a commitment to the local community and fans.

Veolia’s teams are guided by five core values of community spirit, customer focus, innovation, respect and responsibility. These values closely align with Plymouth Albion’s own approach as the club continues to develop its role within the city and plan responsibly for the future.

Chris Lynn, Head of Commercial Operations, South, Veolia, said:

“Plymouth Albion is making impressive strides both on and off the pitch, and we’re proud to support them, with sustainability at the heart of our partnership.

Using our expertise in resource management and waste segregation, we will work with the club to reduce its environmental impact while demonstrating the importance of sustainability through engagement with the local community.”

James Greenacre, Commercial Director, Plymouth Albion, said:

“This is a hugely important partnership for Plymouth Albion and one that will have a genuine impact on the way the club operates.

As our ambitions continue to grow, we have a responsibility to ensure that the progress we make is sustainable and built for the long term. Veolia brings exceptional knowledge and experience in resource management, and their support will help us improve waste segregation, reduce our environmental impact and introduce better practices across Brickfields.

This partnership is about more than branding. It is about working together to create positive, lasting change for the club, our supporters and the wider community.”

Matching Ambition On and Off the Pitch

Plymouth Albion’s partnership with Veolia represents an important step in the club’s continued development.

While the team works to achieve its ambitions on the pitch, the club is equally focused on improving its infrastructure, operations and long-term sustainability away from rugby.

By working alongside the UK’s leading environmental organisations, Albion will be able to make informed changes that benefit Brickfields today while helping protect its future.

Further details about the partnership, including new sustainability initiatives and community engagement opportunities, will be announced throughout the 2026/27 season.
